Day 26 #The100DayProject

Day 26 Oct 5, 2016

Ghibli Museum (三鷹の森ジブリ美術館) was the only spot we planed to go on the trip. Ann told me reservation has to be booked at least a month earlier. I wondering why? She said this place is so popular that will fully book out if we don’t decide now.  I said okay, we have the honor to see the masterpiece of 宮﨑駿/みやざきはやお Miyazaki Hayao‘s work. Very curious how can he produced so many interesting animations for all age? (No photo allow inside the Ghibli Museum.)

We arrived on time and it’s a beautiful day. People were waiting in the line already. We didn’t have our breakfast so we looked for a convenience store. Can’t find any on the way from JR Mitaka station to Ghibli Museum. I wasn’t believe that people says on TV there are not much convenience stores in Japan. When we were in Japan we notice people on TV were telling the true. Japan has very few convenience stores also they are located very far from each other. It was very hard for us to understand why is so hard to find a convenience store in capital city? Well, guess we have to wait til we finish the tour for our late breakfast.

Here is a photo of Totoro with us. Totoro literally means dragon and cat, but in fact is nothing about dragon and cat. The original prototype is Chinchilla, a kind of rodent. The highlight of Chinchilla is they have very soft fur and love teeth. I remember when I was young Tonari no Totoro (1988) was my favorite movie, same to other kids. Every time I watch Tonari no Totoro (1988) I was dreaming to have a Totoro Bus. I felt so weird why I will have this kind of thought? After a while I found every kid who knows this movie would love to have a Totoro Bus. It’s like a dream bus for everyone.
